to bring in white house correspondent, and from cnn money. go big or go home. what is the republican push back? >> reporter: we're going to be finding out very shortly because house speaker john boehner will take to the cameras at 1:30 eastern essentially in the rebuttal to the news conference from the president earlier today. but the push back for republicans has been tax increases. you have republicans who have insisted on no tax increases, and democrats that insisted if there will be spending cuts, to achieve trillions of dollars in deficit savings. they don't want to abandon -- if there are going to be cuts to programs that are huge, they want to be able to say we pushed for sacrifices from wealthy americans and corporations. they are trying to strike kind of a just right agreement. because on one hand, you have a lot of republicans, and many of them who were swept into power in the last election saying we're going to cut spending and make government smaller, so the idea of tax increases, and certainly this is something a lot of them literally pledged they will not do, randi, it would

in the unemployment line. it's that big of an issue. new polling in four key swing states tell the story. over 50% of voters in ohio, missouri and montana say that they will be less likely to vote for president obama if he makes any cuts. that's any cuts to medicare/medicaid benefits. the same holds true if the president signs off on any deal that cuts social security. president obama will never win reelection if he loses 50% of the voters in a state like ohio. now, there is really good reason -- no good reason anywhere to put entitlement cuts on the table with numbers like this. this is mind-boggling to the democratic caucus right now. i know, i spoke to a dozen of them tonight at a function here in washington. republicans. they will never take it as a tried-off for raising taxes on the rich. eric canter made that crystal clear this morning. >> i can tell you one thing, we are united as republicans to say now is not the time to raise taxes. i have talked with the speaker. he is not for increase in taxes. >> we are not for any net new revenues right now. what we want to focus on is getting people

was always striving for a big deal. from the speaker's perspective, the white house at the last minute from their view moved the goal posts. they -- what it sounds like, not only comes to some agreement on a framework, but they were talking real details on some of these proposals, having to do with cuts and spending cuts and medicare and enconstitutitlemen all that. after this agreement that they have come to -- it had reached, they say the white house moved the goal posts. and in their view, speaker bane her to step back, take stock of the situation and really look at the calendar very seriously. as he said had, to do something because the white house's vision was not in line with that of congress. and that's why speaker boehner has now made this very aggressive move saying he's now just working with congress on this. >> jessica, we're running very tight on time tonight. i want to get through a lot fast. is there a sense when you look at the numbers that both sides talk about, even if you take their conflicting versions of what happened, i had the sense they were both talking about really

. they do, however, believe she's no longer in central florida. when she left the jail, you saw the big crowds there. there were people yelling "killer" in that crowd as she got into the suv and left. there is a great deal of emotion still unresolved around this case. we saw a lot of people getting together who were doing something peaceful with those emotions over the weekend. they went to the site where caylee anthony's body was discovered and held a march from that site to the anthony home. all to remember the child whose death started all of this. it was a very solemn occasion. a lot of people walking in the street. at one point it was reported there were cars lined up on the road about a half mile long of people just parking on the roadside going into those woods where her body was discovered to go to that spot and remember that little girl. again, a great deal of emotion. people trying to process all of this on their own. but casey anthony at the moment is still staying out of the public eye even though she has a lot of legal entanglements she will still have to address in the mon

. where is casey anthony at this hour? that is the big question that people want the answer to. the lawyers were successful disguising where she went in the overnight hours. even the press not able to keep up with her. cameras shooting this video of casey anthony walking out of the front doors of the orange county jail at 12:11. wearing pink me low shirt, hair in a bun and the primary defense attorney jose baez right by her side. they got in a motorcade, a gray suburban, a cream colored tahoe and white follow-car and drove directly from the location to a bank of of america building in downtown orlando, not far from here, where her other attorney has an office. they went in covered parking garage and pulled a bait and switch. the suv never emerged from the parking garage, but others cars did and it's not clear which one that casey anthony was in. we can tell you around the same time there was police activity across town at a private airport. a private plane was fuelled up and ready to go on the runway, but nobody saw casey anthony boarding the aircraft. officials telling us it w

with the details. the president is talking and they are hoping for a big grand bargain. what is your sense? >> reporter: well, they have to get one done. so it's sort of the opposite of a cliff hanger. we know how it will end. the question is how do they get there from here? the big question first of all that i can report is that the president told congressional leaders that under no terms will he sign a short-term deal. he is not going to accept anything other than something that raises the debt ceiling through 2012 and that is flat out a promise. he was unequivocal. beyond that, the question over the next few days is, how do they get to this negotiation and all eyes are on john boehner, speaker boehner is the man who has to explain to them where he can get the votes, what it would take for them to deliver. and they are really looking to him. all the negotiators, to explain what the deal would look like for them to get on board with that. >> let's look at the tough choices that they have to make. if you have a grand deal, you have to have a number of things. maybe social security means if
